On the heels of “Charged Up,” Drake’s issued another response to Meek Mill’s Twitter barbs last week. Late last night, he uploaded a new track to the OVO Soundcloud called “Back to Back Freestyle,” the title of which seems to be a nod to the fact that he’s managed to put out two diss tracks before Meek could muster a single response. It’s pretty tame stuff for the most part, but it does feature a few good bars about Meek’s opening slot on Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint tour. “You love her then you gotta get a world tour,” he raps. “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?”
And yet, in typical Drake fashion the whole thing happens heavy-lidded over a similarly subdued beat. Listen to the full track here, and even though it may be just a Twitter beef, it’s given us two new Drake songs and that seems worth celebrating.
