Dave Grohl: ‘I Was High as a F–king Kite’ When Designing Foo Fighters Throne

As you may already be aware, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters returned to the stage this weekend, after the frontman fractured his leg and was forced to cancel the band’s remaining European tour dates.

During their July 4 show, Grohl also performed atop a giant light-up throne with his purple leg cast on full display. Later, footage from the show revealed Grohl saying that he actually designed the throne while high on morphine and oxycontin in the hospital. Here’s the picture:
