Carly Rae Jepsen may “really really really really really really like you,” but that doesn’t mean she “really really really really really really like likes you.” Comedy Bang! Bang!’s Scott Aukerman found this out the hard way when the pop star stopped by the show to rebuff his misinterpreted advances. The comedian said he was flattered by the message Jepsen left for him specifically on his phone, the radio, in a video and “atop the pop charts,” but he didn’t want to date her, despite having not been with a woman “in 24 hours.”
“I get it, I’m irresistible,” he told the “Call Me Maybe” singer, “but at a certain point the harassment needs to stop.” Jepsen quickly sang him another message, and this one was a little bit more clear — and heartbreaking.
