Drake, New Pornographers, Viet Cong, and More Named on Polaris Prize Long List

Are there more “Trophies” in Drake’s near future? Prominent Canadian music award Polaris Music Prize has announced its long list on Twitter today, and the rapper’s latest release, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, is among a group of nominees that also includes names like Viet Cong (Viet Cong), the New Pornographers (Brill Bruisers), and METZ (II).

The list also features Caribou’s Our Love, Death From Above 1979’s The Physical WorldWhite Lung‘s Deep Fantasy, Tobias Jesso Jr.’s Goon, Alvvays‘ Alvvays, Braids’ Deep in the Iris, Ghostface Killah’s Sour Soul, Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld’s Never the Way She Was, Young Guv’s Ripe 4 Luv, and more.
