Florence + the Machine Sail on a Soaring ‘Ship to Wreck’ on ‘SNL’

As Saturday Night Live‘s 40th season crawls toward its close, the impressive musical bookings that have been the rule this season only continue. This week, Florence + the Machine stopped by 30 Rockefeller Plaza during a Reese Witherspoon hosted episode for a pair of performances. Though hamstrung by the foot she broke at Coachella, the barefooted Florence Welch still managed to give soaring performances of the head-spinning single “Ship to Wreck” and the more dramatic “What Kind of Man.” Flailing horns and Welch’s white suit proved particular highlights, but you can check out the whole thing below as you wait for the band’s next LP How Big How Beautiful, out June 2.
