It’s one thing to memorize an interpretive dance with your body, but it’s another thing entirely to absorb choreography using only your face. But that’s precisely what the immensely talented Maddie Ziegler does in her latest appearance in Sia‘s just-released “Big Girls Cry” video (from last year’s 1000 Forms of Fear).
Directed by Sia and Daniel Askill (who also helmed the visuals for “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart”), this latest clip has Ziegler — who has starred in each of the aforementioned clips — molding her already highly emotive face into a series of contortions, which come augmented by wild hand gestures as well.
