Watch Nirvana Play a Show for Two People in New ‘Montage of Heck’ Clip

HBO has shared a new clip from its hotly anticipated Kurt Cobain documentary, Montage of Heck, and the brief preview includes footage of a very, very young Nirvana playing a very, very small house show (rehearsal?) for two people. The clip also includes an interview with bassist Krist Novoselic where he reflects on meeting Cobain when the iconic musician was working as a janitor.

Even then, Novoselic recalls, “he’d always have to do some kind of art — usually defacing something. He never had, like, idle hands. It just came out of him; he had to express himself.” Watch the excerpt below via The New York Times, and look for Montage of Heck on HBO when it premieres May 4.
