Last week, self-proclaimed founder of disco Giorgio Moroder officially revealed that the long-rumored Britney Spears collaboration from his upcoming album —Déjà Vu, due on June 12 — would be a remake of Susanne Vega’s 1990 hit “Tom’s Diner.” Now two sizable snippets of the pop star’s contribution have hit the web, and in typical Britney fashion, they’re breathy, heavily vocoded (not shade, just facts), and distinctly her.
