In advance of an upcoming memoir about Belle and Sebastian’s early days written by former member Stuart David (called In the All-Night Café), they’ve shared an unreleased track and music video called “Paper Boat.” It features unreleased footage of Stuart Murdoch and Isobel Campbell during a 1998 Scottish vacation, and what it doesn’t offer in the field of innovation, it delivers in nostalgia and charming, home-grown sentimentalism.
Belle and Sebastian released their most recent album, the disc0-flecked Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, in January. Pick up the new memoir on May 1 and watch “Paper Boat” above.
