Following on a string of interesting recent interviews, Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his role in the new Noah Baumbach film While We’re Young. But instead of a just straightforward promotional chat, the man born Adam Horovitz was given the opportunity to explain a picture that he appeared in with Sean Penn and David Lee Roth, which apparently came about as a result of an early tour with Madonna. Initial pleasantries aside, he does end up talking a bit about the new film and his history as an actor, which stretches farther back than you might think.
Horovitz also spends some time evaluating his own appearance, staring into the monitors and deadpanning “I should’ve shaved or showered or something.” He eventually shows up in another segment with the host of the Animal Planet show River Monsters, but when asked if he wants to touch a fish, he answers “Nah, I’m good.” Watch the first interview segment above and the others below.
