Laura Marling has co-written and stars in a new short film called Woman Driver, where she plays a hitchhiker opposite Casey Thomas Brown, who drives a short school bus-turned-RV. Written, directed, and edited as part of the 72-hour National Film Challenge in Marfa, Texas, the Chris Perkel-helmed clip has already won awards for Best in Genre, Best Actress, and Best Soundtrack. Marling, meanwhile, has three songs featured in the film, at least one of which will appear on her forthcoming album, the aptly titled Short Movie.
