Charli XCX gave the world the pop-punk cover that we didn’t know we needed this morning when she reinterpreted Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” on BBC’s Live Lounge. Charli’s take on the song may have omitted the (infamous) “this sick beat” line, but it’s full of raw, lo-fi energy that gives the track a totally different feel than the original. Taylor’s going to “shake off” the haters, while Charli just straight-up doesn’t give a damn about them. Listen above.
