Action Bronson Brings the Heat in ‘Boogie Nights’-Inspired ‘Mr. Wonderful’ Trailer

Action Bronson, Mr. Wonderful, Boogie Nights

Is Boogie Nights going to succeed American Psycho as the go-to movie for musicians to randomly recreate scenes from to promote new work? Solid choice if so. Unfortunately, this trailer for Mr. Wonderful doesn’t feature a mustachioed, shotgun-brandishing Action Bronson in a bathrobe and speedo singing along to “Jessie’s Girl” while a coked-out Party Supplies stares on silently. But we do get the next best thing: Rapper and producer recreating the movie’s recording-studio sequence, with “Whole Lotta Love” and “Tears in Heaven” singalongs replacing “The Touch” and “Feel My Heat.”

Pretty good, and that’s before you even realize that Danny Tamberelli of the Adventures of Pete & Pete is hanging out behind the mixing board. Mr. Wonderful is out March 24.
