In their new video for “the Lottery,” the Afghan Whigs decided to focus on the “parallel show” that happens behind their soundboard at every concert. Ryan O’Hara, whom frontman Greg Dulli aptly describes as a “monitor engineer and cougar magnet,” enthusiastically sings and dances along while he flips switches at the board. “It’s phenomenal to watch,” Dulli continues in the clip’s description. “Occasionally, I’ll forget to sing because I’m watching him turn into Bez from Happy Mondays.” The new video is a compilation of O’Hara’s dancing at several past Afghan Whigs shows, finally making his skills public for all to see.
