Ryn Weaver Makes Her Television Debut on ‘Letterman’

Ryn Weaver, OctaHate, Letterman

Ryn Weaver seems poised to have a big 2015. The young singer-songwriter made her presence last known with her debut EP, Promisesand the musical backing of Cashmere Cat and Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos. On Wednesday night, she appeared on national television for the first time when David Letterman invited her onto his show. Weaver trilled her way through “OctaHate,” her most well-known song, and while she might’ve seemed nervous at first, she soared once the song really got going. Letterman was impressed enough to give her a courtly kiss on the hand (or at least he tried to).

It was a fine start to what looks to be a busy year. Weaver is set to play Coachella and Bonnaroo, and her full-length debut is set to drop in 2015 as well. Watch her “OctaHate” performance above.
