The increasingly long saga of Tha Carter V continues: On Thursday afternoon, Lil Wayne posted a series of scathing tweets about his record label, Cash Money Records, claiming that the company won’t release his long-delayed album.
“My album won’t and hasn’t been released [because] Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it,” Weezy F. Baby wrote, apologizing to his fans and saying he doesn’t blame them if they’re “fed up with waiting 4 me & this album.” Tha Carter V was originally supposed to come out way back on October 28, but was pushed back to a still undetermined date. “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity,” he wrote, adding that he wants off the label. More updates as they happen, but don’t hold your breath for an album release anytime soon.
