Connect Sessions — In the Studio With How to Dress Well and Melissa Matos

How to Dress Well, microsoft, connect sessions, spin

One fascinating thing about the collaborative partnership between the pop musician who records as How to Dress Well (Tom Krell) and the multi-disciplinary artist TRUSST (Melissa Matos) is their gravitation towards physical ingredients while utilizing information age ideas. They may be children of remote connectivity, but they like to experiment and make through physical touch. In November, when How to Dress Well and TRUSST reconvened at a New York studio to map out their project for the Connect Sessions powered by Microsoft, they spent as much time playing scientists, engineers and carpenters as they did manipulating software. And while the platform for their creative work is undeniably digital, the parts that make their collaborations unique are as tactile as a canvas or a ball of yarn.
