Eminem, having recently threatened to “punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice” in a freestyle, has made Iggy Azalea his next target. Or, more specifically, Iggy’s butt, which he is decidedly not a fan of. (Not to get too Seinfeld, but what’s the deal with the recent rush of male musicians commenting on female musicians’ asses?)
In a leaked excerpt from “Vegas,” from his upcoming SHADYXV record, Eminem plants his flag with Nicki Minaj and essentially tells Iggy to GTFO. “Back to basic / Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist / Let’s ski, so what’s it gon’ be? / Put that shit away, Iggy.” It’s an unnecessary dig, sure, but it’s perfectly in line with the Shady we all know.
The compilation is set to drop November 24, so barring any other leaks we’ll just have to wait a few more weeks to see if Eminem has beef with any other artists and/or their derrieres.
Update: Several commenters have suggested that Eminem is not actually speaking ill of Iggy’s butt — he’s actually threatening to rape her. (The next line in the song is quick, but appears to be “You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me.”) If we read this one wrong it might be because we were trying to give Eminem the benefit of the doubt, but if not, holy shit, this is way worse.
