Courtney Love and Dave Grohl’s Feud Ended Because of… ‘Boobs’

Sometimes it’s the simple things that bring us back together. Ask Courtney Love, who recently said that her lengthy and bitter feud with Dave Grohl ended because of, well, “boobs.” Pardon the crassness of that sentence, but Love dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday and explained that she and the Foo Fighters frontman were able to move past old grudges because of their mutual appreciation of an actress’ breasts. Though she didn’t name the actress in question, Love said that she and Grohl had seen them, and “at one point when she was 20, they were the sexiest boobs in Hollywood.”

So now, after 20 years of legal battles (and a heartfelt hug at this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony), Love and Grohl appear to be on good terms once again. “That’s a hell of a thing to bring you together,” Kimmel said, showing remarkable restraint. The two boob-aficionados also have a long-standing bet over which one of them can “get” the most strippers, so this seems to be a theme of their renewed friendship.

The former Hole singer went on to say that she would like to record with Grohl, suggesting they cover Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream.” May we never find out where this monstrosity would fit in SPIN‘s ranking of every Foo Fighters song.
