Conor Oberst led the Jimmy Kimmel Live audience up (or is it down?) his sixth solo album Upside Down Mountain last night performing “Zigzagging Toward the Light,” a methodic and somewhat twangy tune elevated by a whimsical “ooooohhhhhh” in the chorus. The Bright Eyes singer has recently hit his stride on late night stages promoting the record — in July, Oberst dazzled Letterman with the delicate and uplifting “Hundreds of Ways.” Watch his Kimmel performance above.
