Drake Might Have Passed on Wu-Tang Clan Remix Because They Don’t Rap About ‘Broads’

Having the Wu-Tang Clan jump on a remix of Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever” is an idea so simple and so brilliant that there was no way it was ever actually going to materialize. Talking to MTV News, Wu members Ghostface Killah and Raekwon appeared perplexed that the verses the group recorded for a remix of the track were never released, but U-God theorized that the holdup was due to thematic concerns. U elaborates:

I guess we came too hard for him; he wanted us to talk about broads…We had to write it real fast. No lie, I probably had about six hours to write this thing. At the time, I wasn’t feeling woman-y — I was feeling hard as nails. So, I wrote him a hard as nail rhyme, and we was talking about something totally different, so the subject matter didn’t really mesh.

Sad, but makes sense. It’s the same reason why Drake probably won’t be hopping on a remix to “Triumph” anytime soon either. Drizzy’s always feeling a little “woman-y.”
