Taylor Swift Enlists Jack Antonoff to Help Her ‘Out of the Woods’

Taylor Swift Out of the Woods New Single Jack Antonoff 1989

We’re only a couple of weeks away from the release of Taylor Swift’s big pop album, 1989, and tonight the “Shake It Off” singer released the newest cut from the project, “Out of the Woods.” It’s another booming Max Martin production, written about a tumultuous relationship and the problems that can drag a couple down.

“We were built to fall apart / And fall back together,” Swift sings with gusto on the synthy, drum-pounding song. Though Swift has said that “Woods” won’t be her next single, it heavily features Bleachers lead singer Jack Antonoff — who also co-wrote the track — singing backing vocals on the pre-chorus (“are we in the clear yet?”) as well as the big, sweeping “oh oh ohs” that make the production so anthemic. Look for 1989 on October 27 via Big Machine, and stream “Out of the Woods” below.
