Foregoing Sleep, Pharrell Will Instead Produce Snoop Dogg’s New Album

Snoop Dogg, Pharrell, New Album, Charlie Wilson, Stevie Wonder

After publicly sparring with Iggy Azalea via Instagram this week, recent BET Hip Hop Awards host Snoop Dogg has confirmed that his new album will be entirely produced by perpetual man-of-the-moment Pharrell. Billboard confirms the news this morning, along with the announcement that the project has already enlisted special guests “Uncle” Charlie Wilson (whose BET Awards performance in 2013 remains one of the best examples of live showmanship in recent history) and Stevie Wonder.

While this news is promising for the “Gin and Juice” rapper’s upcoming project, it’s hard not to be concerned that Skateboard P is spreading himself too thin (see his recent production on the messy Jennifer Hudson/Azalea track, “He Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” for instance). Check out Snoop’s Instagram confirmation below and hope for the best.
