Gerard Way Turns Up on ‘Conan’ for ‘No Shows’

gerard way, connan, no shows, hesitant alien

Gerard Way dropped by Conan last night to shred his way through a track from his debut solo album while engaging in an unofficial “who has the fieriest hair?” contest with Conan O’Brien. (We’re calling it a tie). The My Chemical Romance founder played “No Shows,” a hectic love song off of last month’s Hesitant Alien.

While he might’ve seemed a little stiff on Conan’s stage, Way injected the record’s second single with a ton of jittery energy. To be fair, the pop-punk powerhouse has been busy. His album dropped in September, and he’s currently writing a Spider-Man series for Marvel comics. Super cool, just please — no emo Peter Parker.
