In the weeks leading up to Calvin Harris’ new album, Motion, the Scottish DJ has teased fans by releasing several tracks from the hotly anticipated album. Last week, we got the scorching “Slow Acid” and its weird, wild accompanying video. Early this morning, Harris released “Outside,” his new single featuring British singer Ellie Golding.
Much like the pair’s extremely successful previous collaboration, “I Need Your Love,” the new track is filled with sweeping vocals and dramatic drops. “I’ll show you what it feels like / Now I’m on the outside / We did everything right / Now I’m on the outside,” Goulding sings in that trademark, breathy-pop voice of hers. We’ve still yet to hear Harris’ Motion collaborations with Big Sean, Gwen Stefani, Tinashe, and HAIM, but the album is set for a November 4 release, so there’s not much longer to wait.
