Blood Orange Makes Tightly Choreographed TV Debut on ‘Kimmel’

Last night, Blood Orange (Dev Hynes, of course) made his television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live with a two-song performance that demonstrated the singer’s relentless creativity. During his Cupid Deluxe standout “It Is What It Is” (above), the silky voiced Hynes was joined by his girlfriend Samantha Urbani for an intricately choreographed routine that never sacrificed musical quality for showmanship.

Later in the night, Hynes returned with “Time Will Tell,” which he tackled solo while wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the phrase “Black Lives Matter.” That’s below, and worth watching for his very Michael Jackson-esque dance moves.
