Ariel Pink Visits P.S. 22 Chorus, Is Surprisingly Great With Kids

Ariel Pink might’ve been a little rude with The New Yorker while on the way to P.S. 22 in New York to visit their famous chorus, but video of his visit has surfaced and it’s quite heartwarming. Pink, a former elementary school art teacher, led the children through two songs from his upcoming pom pom album, “Jell-o” and “Picture Me Gone,” and answered questions the budding musicians had about the music industry. The kids seemed to really like Pink, with one saying, “I think they should call you a legend.” (That said, there’s probably a lot of his canon that they’re not allowed to listen to yet.)

Listen to Pink and the P.S. 22 Chorus’ takes on “Picture Me Gone” above, and “Jello-o” below.
