Radiohead Share New Music via App, Book Studio for New Album

Radiohead New Music PolyFauna App Thom Yorke New Album

Though the members of Radiohead have stayed busy with various solo endeavors over the course of the last year, their latest full-band project was a February app called PolyFauna that allowed exploration of strange cosmic landscapes. Now after some cryptic Tumblr posts, that app has received a full scale update with new unreleased music and visuals — just as the band is set to head to the studio to begin their next album. You can see a number of the updated visuals below, via The Creators Project, and even more over at Thom Yorke’s Tumblr.

In other exciting news, the British rock experimentalists seem set to live up Jonny Greenwood’s promises of a fall start to their new album. Phil Selway spoke to NME about his new solo album recently, but he also dropped the tantalizing morsel that the band have a week in the studio booked in October.

“We are starting again in about a month’s time,” Selway said. “We’ve decided that now feels right to start making music and we’ve got the first week booked in together so we’ll see how it goes.”

Keep in mind that this is only just the beginning of the recording process, so it’s fortunate that there’s at least a few new worlds to explore in that strangely soothing PolyFauna app.
