The Pains of Being Pure at Heart Try to Give Taylor Swift a ‘Poison Touch’
New song comes from expanded edition of 'Days of Abandon'
Following the May release of their Days of Abandon album, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart are back with “Poison Touch,” one of five new tracks that will appear on the upcoming deluxe edition of their third LP. As frontman Kip Berman tells The Line of Best Fit (which premiered the upbeat ditty), “I wrote ‘Poison Touch’ for Taylor Swift, but I think her number was in my old phone. So I gave it to A Sunny Day in Glasgow’s Jen Goma instead.” Goma’s vocals add even more of an ’80s pop sheen to the track, and we don’t mean that in a bad way.
