Big Freedia confirms the terrible news about the New Orleans rapper and Diplo collaborator
New Orleans bounce rapper Nicky Da B, famous for his fiery and genre-bending appearance on Diplo’s “Express Yourself,” has passed away at the age of 24 according to scattered reports. Though details on Nicky’s alleged death are still scarce, bounce pioneer Big Freedia confirmed the news on Twitter a short while ago. According to The Times-Picayune, who spoke to the artist’s manager, the man born Nickesse Toney “passed away after a brief illness.”

Update: Nicky’s management has confirmed the rapper’s death with a statement.
