Interpol Keep ‘All the Rage’ Polished on ‘Letterman’

interpol late night letterman

Last night, Interpol — “a wonderful rock and roll band from right here in New York City” — paid Late Show With David Letterman a visit to play “All the Rage Back Home” from their new album, El Pintor. It’s a pretty standard performance, but Letterman seemed to be into it, as has been his pattern lately (never forget the Future Islands fan-girling). The track itself sounds like it’d be a nice cue-up for “Slow Hands” on a greatest-hits collaboration, which is sure to come in the next few years at the rate they’re going. Come for Interpol, stay for Letterman pronouncing the band’s album title with a decidedly tongue-rolled accent.
