Though Cibo Matto can claim Japan or N.Y.C. (or both) as home, the duo is obviously of another dimension. Miho Hatori and Yuka Honda recently returned after 15 years, first with the swaggering single “MFN” and then the awesomely trippy album Hotel Valentine, and now they deliver a stylish bubblegum pop-meets-digital-disaster (intentional) of a video for “Deja Vu.” In the Jean Claude Billmaier-directed clip, the duo lounge about a bizarrely changing hotel room, cruise around city streets, and otherwise make us wonder, “Is it real, or is it a dream?” Watch above and decide for yourself.
