The Killers Dress Down Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’ at V Festival

The Killers Cover Iggy Azalea Fancy V Festival

Not one to let Arcade Fire rule the covers circuit, the Killers got in on the action with a tongue-in-cheek 90-second renditon of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” at last night’s V Festival in Staffordshire, England.

“We’ve sort of been working on something and we wanted to show you a little bit of it,” Brandon Flowers told the crowd before breaking out a saccharine-sweet version (with the slightly amended lyrics “from Vegas to Staffordshire”) of the Australian rapper’s hit single. The band’s drummer, Ronnie Vannucci Jr., added to the absurdity with some “slinky” choreography straight out of Tina Belcher’s book.

Clearly discontent with playing typical headlining sets, the Killers last week invited Danielle Haim to drum with them onstage at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival. The band also made a splash last week when their song “Tranquilize” popped up in a trailer for the new season of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.
