The forthcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton went to some questionable means to find actors to serve as the film’s extras, but they presumably went a more traditional route for the latest addition to the cast. Paul Giamatti will appear in the film as the group’s manager and Ruthless Records label head Jerry Heller, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ?
Giamatti will star alongside Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E, Marcus Callender as Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson as Ice Cube. The F. Gary Gray-directed film is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2014.
