Lana Del Rey Cancels First Ever Show in Israel

Lana Del Rey Israel show Cancellation

Due to continuing political turmoil in the Gaza Strip, Lana Del Rey has cancelled her first concert ever in Israel according to Billboard reports. The Ultraviolence singer was set to appear at the Tel Aviv Exhibition grounds on August 20, but like Neil Young, Cee Lo, Megadeth, the show has been called off temporarily.

Del Rey hasn’t yet officially commented on the news but her opening act Max Jury noted on Twitter that the date “has been postponed.” The Jerusalem Post reports that tickets for the original show will be honored at a yet to be determined date.

Concert promoter Carmi Wurtman, whose company 2b Vibes was set to put on the cancelled Cee Lo show, estimates that Israel has lost upwards of $10 million in revenue from these cancelled shows. Another promoter suggests that the losses could reach $20 million by the middle of August.
