Here’s Barack Obama ‘Rapping’ Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’

Barack Obama has finally weighed in on pop music’s most important issue of 2014: Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX’s summer anthem “Fancy.” First, rapper Saul Williams blamed a culture that embraced “an Australian girl rapping with a Southern accent” for the demise of his Broadway musical about Tupac, and then Questlove elegantly defended the track. But none was more eloquent than President Obama, who delivers the first verse and chorus in this short video. Actually, he doesn’t really sing “Fancy”; it’s a mash-up of words taken from videos of his various speeches and appearances, cut-and-pasted to sound like the song. We liked Weird Al’s version of “Fancy” better, but this one will do.
