For their three-night stint at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Arcade Fire went punk. Leather and studs were left at home, but the Montreal band continued their string of location-specific covers by celebrating the genre’s New York City heritage, first by enlisting Buster Poindexter for a cover of “Hot Hot Hot” and then by joining up with Marky Ramone for renditions of “I Wanna Be Sedated” and “I Don’t Wanna Go Down to the Basement.” To finish off their residency on Sunday Night, as Consequence of Sound notes, the band took on “Dream Baby Dream,” the classic track by no wave forerunners Suicide, with a little help from another New York icon David Byrne.

Before turning up in Dracula makeup on Sunday night, Byrne appeared on The Suburbs‘ song “Speaking in Tongues” and has also appeared with the band on a number of other occasions. Arcade Fire also seemed to tease his appearance on Saturday night by allowing their iconic bobbleheads to dance along to Talking Heads “Psycho Killer.” Watch video of the performance above.
