At the top of the year, we were treated to the darkly tinted delight that was Mast’s “Red,” featuring Anna Wise (of Kendrick Lamar fame). Now the Philly-bred, Los Angeles based musician and producer returns with a new treat from his lush Omni album, out now on the Low End Theory-affiliated Alpha Pup label. The video above finds the man born Tim Conley teaming with old friend RYAT for a beautifully eerie piano-powered piece that largely eschews electronics for smokey, jazz-indebted scoring. The visual, meanwhile, is a first-person trip through a coastal scape that becomes increasingly hallucinatory as time passes (not unlike the song itself). Omni also features appearances from left-field rap mind Jeremiah Jae and harp-plucking singer/producer Low Leaf — pick it up here.
