Broken Bells have shared a live video for “Holding on for Life,” aptly immortalizing a performance of the song at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. This one is, of course, the lead single off of After the Disco, the second work from Brian Burton (Danger Mouse) and James Mercer (the Shins) under their Broken Bells moniker, dubbed by us as “masterfully rendered melancholic psych-pop.” The live footage speaks to the band’s ability to make a dispairing narrative relatable to their fans, rather than a practice in self-soothing shoe-gazing. Also, they’re no dobut hoping it’ll convince you of their stage chops, since below you’lll find a whole host of dates for the Bells as they take on North America. “Holding on for Life” was also prominently featured in the sci-fi flick created in tandem with this album, created with a little star-power from Kate Mara and Anton Yelchin.
