The Brooklyn art-rockers in TV on the Radio played their first show in over nine months on Friday night at Napa Valley’s BottleRock Festival. As Stereogum points out to celebrate the occasion, they debuted three new songs from their fall followup to 2011’s Nine Types of Light.
You can catch the first one above and then the others below, and though its hard to tell from the shaky cellphone footage, they seem to maintain the disaffected sheen of their recent singles “Mercy” and “Million Miles.”
There’s no word yet on when the album is set to drop, but until then you can squint at the familiar figures in the distance of these Youtube videos or you can read our 2013 interview with Tunde Adebimpe, in which he discusses some of this new material.
