Paul McCartney Cancels More Tour Dates Due to Illness

Paul McCartney Cancels Tour Illness

Following the cancellation of a number of Asian tour dates and his brief hospitalization in Tokyo, Paul McCartney has been forced to call off more tour dates due to a nagging virus.

The Beatles legend was set to begin the U.S. leg of his Out There tour on June 14 in Lubbock, Texas, but that date and six following shows have been postponed until October now. According to a press statement, Macca is feeling better, but doctors are ordering a few more days of rest to ensure the maintenance of his well-being.

“I’m sorry but it’s going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again,” McCartney said. “I’m feeling great but taking my docs’ advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon.”

If all goes according to plan, the U.S. dates will now begin July 5 at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York.
