Kanye Celebrates North West’s First Birthday With ‘Kidchella’

Just a day after Kanye made a surprise appearance at Dave Chappelle’s residency at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, he made it back out to Los Angeles for an important moment in his daughter’s life, her first music festival birthday. As Consequence of Sound points out, little Nori’s party was a bit more extravagant than the usual 1-year-old’s celebration.

The party was held in the backyard of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s house in Calabasas, California, where the whole Kardashian clan gathered for a celebration dubbed “Kidchella.”

Replete with a ferris wheel, food stands, and multiple performance stages, the party sought to recreate a fun-sized and toddler-appropriate version of Coachella, where Kanye himself last performed in 2011.

The little tykes were treated to hair braiding, face painting, and customized Yeezus tees. You can check out some of the Instagram shots of the affair below. Chances are it was better than your first birthday.
