Last week, fresh off the $3 billion Beats/Apple deal, Dr. Dre traded up to to brand new $40 million mansion formerly owned by supermodel Gisele Bundchen and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Now that leaves his old place, which he purchased in 2011 for a relatively humble sum of $15.4 million, vacant. Today, as Curbed reports, he’s listed that pad for a cool $35 million.
The listing on Redfin doesn’t offer much in the way of insight into the good doctor’s lifestyle, but the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom residence does appear to offer some pretty killer vistas of the rest of Los Angeles (it’s at 9161 Oriole Way, overlooking the Sunset Strip, if you feel like visiting). There’s also a wine cellar, a library, and a den “all in total serenity,” says the ad.
Maybe the move will be a good thing for Dr. Dre fans too, since it appears “total serenity” isn’t actually the best climate for, say, finishing an album (ahem, Detox). Of course, it could be the man born Andre Romelle Young simply forgot about Dre, busy as he was with becoming hip-hop’s ifrst billionaire.
