Watch Pulp’s Cheery Trailer for ‘A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets’

Pulp Documentary Life Death Supermarkets Trailer Video

We first heard news of a new Pulp doc back in February when it was set to premiere at SXSW as Sheffield: Sex City. Now that film has a trailer and is prepared for a wider release in the U.K, under a new name: Pulp: A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets. The movie centers on the band’s relationship to its hometown of Sheffield, England, and a 2012 reunion show they played there — which is incidentally their last show that didn’t take place at sea.

The film screened a couple of weeks ago at Cannes, but the UK and Ireland release begins June 6. According to a note from Jarvis Cocker, the European premiere takes place on June 7 at Sheffield City Hall, where the band will participate in a Q&A about the film hosted by Mark Radcliffe. That interview session will also be broadcast to all of the participating cinemas listed at the film’s website.

No word on a wider release stateside, but you can watch the trailer above thanks to The Line of Best Fit.
