Truss Gives Liars’ ‘Pro Anti Anti’ a Sprightly Remix

liars, pro anti anti

At the end of March, Liars released their delightfully freaky seventh album, Mess. One of the nightmare-inducing standouts, “Pro Anti Anti,” delivers four minutes of savage whirrs and eerie, glittery pulses. Come July 1, the Los Angeles-based trio of avant-garde oddballs will release a digital single of “Pro Anti Anti” on Mute, with a limited-edition vinyl set to drop on July 15. The single contains several remixes of “Pro Anti Anti,” including Factory Floor’s stretched-out, stuttering house version and the hoppy romp crafted by inventive London producer Truss (a.k.a Tom Russell). Stream Truss’ take — which is rife with harsh clinks, subdued chants, and perky blips and bloops fit for Nintendo — below, then check out Liars’ upcoming tour dates.
