Kanye West Wanted James Franco and Seth Rogen to Perform ‘Bound 3’ at His Wedding

By now, it’s safe to say that many of us have seen the “Bound 3” video done by James Franco and Seth Rogen. You know, the über-viral clip that features the comedic duo, shirts off and straddling a motorcycle, making out and riding off like Kanye West and Kim Kardashian into a green screen sunset? (It’s streaming above if you somehow haven’t spotted it yet.) Well, there’s something else you should know: Kanye allegedly asked Franco and Rogen to do a live rendition of the spoof for his Versailles wedding.

Franco made an appearance on ABC’s The View on Tuesday and recalled a phone call that he and Rogen supposedly received from West. “We thought he was just going to let us have it,” Franco said. “But he loved it… And I’m pretty sure I can say it now because I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen: He wanted us to perform it live the night before his wedding at Versailles.”

When the parody first premiered, the soon-to-be Mrs. West tweeted in support, saying, “You nailed it! Sooo funny,” followed later by, “Kanye says what’s up! He loves u guys! He laughed so hard at this!” And, apparently, the Yeezus star also heard wedding bells, which all in all sounds much nicer than a lawsuit from the song’s sample artist, Ricky Spicer, and legal troubles with Vogue.

Alas, Franco said he’s “pretty sure” that the event — which would’ve likely caused the Internet to self-immolate — is “not going to happen.” “It would have been awesome for about 20 seconds,” Franco told the ladies of The View. “But then there would be Seth with his shirt off in front of all the Kardashians.”

Just imagine Kris Jenner’s face but, more importantly, the memes.
