Watch Drake Make Fun of Drake With Pedestrians on ‘Kimmel’

Drake will host ESPN’s ESPY Awards this summer, a job that puts him in the company of past emcees such Mad Men star Jon Hamm, Late Night host Seth Meyers, and ABC funnyman Jimmy Kimmel. Now, Drake being Drake, he’s curious as to what other people think of him. So, to gauge public opinion about the ESPYs announcement, the Nothing Was the Same rapper donned a disguise and asked people on Hollywood’s streets how they feel about the appointment, all as part of a Thursday guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Outfitted with a wig, fake beard, and pair of glasses, the millennial multi-threat once again proved his willingness to poke fun at himself by grilling pedestrians about a few made-up scandals. “Drake apparently got a little too tipsy and publicly urinated in a Baby Gap. How do you feel about that?” he asks one target. Speaking to another civilian, the “Draft Day” spitter wonders: “How do you feel about Drake apparently performing a surprise performance at Coachella, and airing his sex tape on the screen? Are you excited to see it?” Consider this another victory for Drake in his war against his sad sack reputation.

Watch the hilarious “I Witness News” bit — which also features a street musician ad-libbing a Drake diss track — above. Below, watch recent Saturday Night Live (and Kimmel) guest Sam Smith perform the Taylor Swift-endorsed “Money on My Mind” on Kimmel‘s AT&T Indoor Stage.
