Hear the Shilohs’ Dazzling, Shimmery ‘Palm Readers’

the shilohs, palm reader

Fresh off a slew of tour dates with Real Estate and a handful of South by Southwest gigs, the Shilohs are preparing to drop their self-titled sophomore album on May 13. Enter “Palm Readers,” a new song that follows in the same jangly vein as “The Place Where Nobody Knows I Go,” a sweet, unassuming stunner from the Vancouver quartet’s 2013 debut, So Wild. “Palm Readers” kicks off with a bright, coastal guitar line that drives the tune forward, sets the path for a heartstring-tugging first verse (“Limitations come and go / Needless love / The only boy to know”), and eventually warbles out to a shimmering close. Marvel at “Palm Readers” below.
