Rough Francis, Sons of Death, Thrash in ‘Not a Nice Guy’ Video

Rough Francis 'Not a Nice Guy' Video

Detroit proto-punks Death had their career resuscitated thanks in part to the excellent documentary A Band Called Death, and now the sons of frontman Bobby Hackney are carrying that legacy forth with their own band, Rough Francis. To celebrate the recent release of their debut full-length, Maximum Soul Power, the band — singer Bobby Jr., drummer Urian, guitarist Julian, bassist Steven Hazen Williams, and guitarist Paul Comegno — unveiled their new video for “Not a Nice Guy.” It’s helmed by Mark Covino, who co-directed A Band Called Death, and features mix of party shots and concert footage, with the Burlington, Vermont quintet crowd-surfing all over everything. (That said: they do seem like pretty nice guys.) Watch above, and pick up Rough Francis’ Maximum Soul Power via Riot House Records.
