Le1f Hijacks a Hamburger Joint in ‘Boom’ Video

Le1f

It’s been a good few weeks for rising New York rapper Le1f. He recently announced a joint record deal with XL/Terrible Records, released a five-track EP called Hey, and made his network television debut on the Late Show With David Letterman last week. Today, he continues that momentum with a new Sam Jones-directed video for “Boom,” a dark, warbly Hey highlight that finds the MC exploring some pent-up frustration in a hamburger joint. As seen above, the diner turns into club where Le1f is free to swagger, make it rain with napkins, and puff on an endless supply of blunts.

And, after a releasing three well-received mixtapes in the last two years, Le1f is finally at work on his proper debut album. “I would be totally fine if the only thing I could ever watch was anime, cartoons, and visualizers,” he told SPIN back in 2012 of his influences. “I feel more like an alien than a gay rapper.” We can’t wait.
